Position Overview
Peakline is seeking a West Coast Managing Director of Business Development to lead investor sourcing, relationship management, and capital raising efforts across the Western United States. This senior, client-facing role will be responsible for expanding Peakline’s presence among family offices, RIAs, and institutional investors, while driving new investor acquisition and deepening existing relationships.
The ideal candidate is a proven business development professional with strong relationships across the West Coast investor ecosystem, deep knowledge of private markets, and a track record of successful fundraising.
Key Responsibilities:
- Investor Coverage & Relationship Management
- Develop and manage relationships with family offices, RIAs, private banks, and institutional investors across the West Coast
- Serve as a primary point of contact for investors, delivering a high-touch, consultative client experience
- Maintain ongoing dialogue with clients regarding portfolio construction, product offerings, and market insights
- Capital Raising & Business Development
- Drive new investor acquisition and capital formation across private equity, venture capital, private credit, and real estate strategies
- Execute targeted outreach and territory development strategies to expand Peakline’s investor base
- Lead and manage the full fundraising lifecycle, from initial outreach through subscription
- Market Strategy & Territory Ownership
- Own and execute West Coast business development strategy in partnership with senior leadership
- Identify key growth channels, strategic partnerships, and emerging investor segments
- Represent Peakline at industry events, conferences, and investor meetings
- Internal Collaboration
- Partner closely with investor relations, product, and investment teams to align messaging and deliver best-in-class investor communications
- Provide feedback from the field to inform product development and marketing strategy
- Maintain accurate pipeline tracking and reporting within CRM systems
Qualifications:
- 7 — 12+ years of experience in business development, capital raising, or investor relations within asset management or alternative investments
- Established network of relationships with West Coast family offices, RIAs, and/or institutional investors
- Strong understanding of private markets, including private equity, venture capital, private credit, and real estate
- Demonstrated track record of meeting or exceeding fundraising targets
- Excellent communication, presentation, and relationship management skills
- Highly self-motivated with the ability to operate independently in a regional role
- Proficiency with CRM systems and pipeline management

Work Environment
